A couple of days in Istanbul
It was a chance to look at things from a somewhat remote perspective. When I worked for OCC, traveling was a substantial element of the job. You have to go places to do training and, most importantly, consulting, which is never an easy job. It was clear that if you're back at the hotel without a headache, then you didn't do your best. That was actually what made me happy: being intellectually sucked out completely. But to start feeling that strange sort of satisfaction, you should jump on a train to your family's home, which is the most important place in the world.
